Attention all ARC Raiders! Your favorite game just got a major update, and it’s packed with changes that could shake up your strategy. Patch 1.18.0 is live, so restart your client now to dive into the latest fixes and tweaks. But here’s where it gets interesting: we’ve addressed some game-changing exploits and adjusted loot drops in ways that might spark some debate.
First up, we’ve shut down an exploit that let players stash weapons in a safe pocket without the Safekeeper Augment. Fair play is back on the menu! We also fixed an issue where the Snaphook could be tucked away mid-use—no more sneaky shortcuts there. And this is the part most people miss: we’ve slightly lowered the drop rate of rare blueprints in First Wave Caches on the Hurricane map, but here’s the trade-off: high-tier materials are now more common. Why the change? Well, blueprints were raining down a bit too generously, especially since players have become pros at hunting down caches. To keep things balanced, we’re shifting the focus to better materials. So, while you might snag fewer blueprints per session, you’ll be upgrading your gear with top-notch resources instead. Caches remain a reliable blueprint source—just not a guaranteed blueprint bonanza every time.
But here’s where it gets controversial: Is this adjustment a fair trade, or will it leave some players feeling shortchanged? Let us know in the comments—we’re all ears!
We also rolled out a scorching hotfix for the Dam Controlled Access Zone, smoothed out performance drops caused by certain ARC interactions, and resolved a quest-breaking bug in ‘Worth Your Salt.’ Plus, we squashed a rare crash tied to the Player Proximity menu. Phew—that’s a lot of fixes!
One last thought to chew on: With these changes, how will your raiding strategy evolve? Will you prioritize blueprints or focus on high-tier materials? The choice is yours, and the discussion is wide open. See you topside, Raiders!
